The magical world of storytelling makes children expand imagination and develop character. Children in every parts of Asia love to hear fantasy elements in a story telling such as magical places, kings and queens, heroes triumphs over wicked creature, magic wands and fairies. Fairy tale is indeed the top children books most read by many children in Asia.

Exposing literature to children in their very young age promotes learning and good comprehension. Through reading fairy tales that children are exposed to new vocabulary words. In language development, children reading books can learn to appreciate its benefit.

The top fairy tale books most read in Asia include the three little pigs, Goldilocks and the three bears, sleeping beauty, Snow white and the seven dwarfs, Cinderella, little red riding hood and Hansel and Gretel. Almost all children in Asia are familiar with these stories and often will tell you how these stories are all about when asked.

One of the famous fairy tales is the three little pigs that receive the highest rank over any other children books. This is a story of three pigs who decided to make their own houses out of their own ideas. The two pigs are lazy to build a house that is difficult to construct and would take time. The two lazy pigs build their houses out of straw and wood while the third pig uses brick. The hungry wolf comes across their houses wanting to eat the three pigs. He blows the first house of the pig which is made up of straw, and he also done this to the second pig that house is made up of wood. The two pigs run to their brother’s house made up of brick. The wolf tries to blow the house but the brick is too strong to break so he climbed the roof and tries to pass through the chimney. But unfortunately, he drops down trapped in the fire and large kettle of water. The wolf died and the three pigs then lived happily ever after.

Parents really love to read fairy tale stories to their children. Children on the other hand benefit from this not only having improved vocabulary but also the moral lesson they get from it. It is worthy to think that this fairy tale is being imparted from one generation to another. Even adults nowadays remember this story and they are proud to say that fairy tale has been their favorite books way back their childhood days.
